Once you book your consultation with the Edinburgh Centre for Functional Medicine you will receive a detailed questionnaire related to your health history. Before you arrive for your consultation, we will explore the key points of this questionnaire and go over presenting symptoms and what has caused this imbalance. We will also look at any test results you may have had with any previous healthcare practitioners. The first appointment typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. From the initial consultation we will be able to determine if any functional medicine testing are needed, and if so, which ones would be best suited to your case.

This option is ideal for those seeking to assess their health through a one-time consultation to explore the potential benefits of functional medicine. You will receive a comprehensive functional medicine evaluation from one of our skilled practitioners, along with a customized program tailored to your needs. The appointment is designed to thoroughly investigate your current symptoms, health history, underlying dysfunctions in the body systems, and health goals. Our goal is to provide a holistic assessment to uncover the root causes of your health concerns and develop a personalized plan to support your overall well-being.

3 Month Plan

This option is ideal for individuals who are committed to a longer period of engagement with our practitioner in order to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of their health imbalance and symptom presentation. Typically, we recommend a timeframe of 2 to 3 months to see improvement in symptoms. During this period, our approach may involve comprehensive testing and adjustments to nutrition, diet, and lifestyle choices to address the root causes of the imbalance. Our goal is to work closely with you over an extended period of time to achieve lasting improvements in your health and well-being
